Vendor Market Madness: Surviving and Thriving
Yesterday was round two at a vendor/maker event this year. Always a nail-biting drive for me!
Might stuff get a bit battered on the journey? You betcha, it did
Did I make things people will want to buy? Crazy fact, I did!
Did I make enough of the "Love" photo holders? Crazy fact #2, I made the same amount as last time and it was overkill. Last time I sold out.
Did I remember to grab my credit card reader? YUP, and I made sure it was fully charged. Sounds like a given, but let's be real, I can be a scatterbrain sometimes.
I feel like I'm a bundle of nerves until the doors swing open, and then voila, I'm in my happy place. Chatting it up with folks is my thing, even if they're not buying anything. I love the amazing people who support us as we share our art, baking, sewing, jewelry, and more. It's tough not knowing what others will think. This is year two of markets for me and I have to say, the shoppers at these events are amazing! It really does make all the struggles of packing things up, travelling, setting up, standing for HOURS, taking it all apart again, and driving home (sometimes hours away), worth it.
Markets echo all the reasons I adore what I do. If you spot something at a market or on this site that you love but it's sold out, contact me so we can fix that.
